# Line Items & New Financial Reports

We’re continuing to level up the finances section in Dog Breeder Pro.

Previously, you could capture transactions and link them to a animal, contact, or litter. Now you can break transactions down into individual line items and link each one to the appropriate animal or contact. So if a single vet invoice covers vaccinations for one animal and a health check for another, you can split it out and assign each line where it belongs. It makes it much easier to see exactly where your money is going, and coming from.

We’ve also added new report exporting at both the transaction and line item level, so you can choose the level of detail that works for you, including a quick overview or something more detailed to hand over to your accountant.

Can you make the file so that when I enter a total amount, the VAT is calculated automatically?  
Right now I always have to scroll back to the numbers because I can’t remember all those decimals.

We were able to solve the issue mentioned above.

If anyone else has difficulty with the VAT not populating automatically, please check if you have a default rate set in Finances \> Settings. And please let us know if this is still an issue for you so we can fix it. 🙂
