Mobile Beta Update
First off, a genuine thank you to everyone who’s been testing the mobile app. You’ve been patient, thorough, and the feedback you’ve been sharing has been incredibly useful.
Here’s where things stand.
Our first hurdle was simply getting the app downloaded and installed on your devices. As far as we know, we’ve moved past that now, but if you’re still having trouble getting the app installed, please let us know. And as a reminder, the initial dog sync can take a few minutes and the app needs to stay open while it completes.
From there, we’ve been working through the core of the app, dogs, contacts, photos, filters, and search. The early feedback helped us iron out a lot of the basic functionality like viewing and editing dog details, adding photos, and making sure your dog list actually feels right.
Over the last week we’ve added the ability to add a new dog directly from the app, and you can now delete a dog too. We’ve also improved the contacts side of things, you can add multiple contacts as owners, breeders, or guardians, and you’ll see contact thumbnails showing up alongside them. There’s also a new search bar on contacts to help you find who you’re looking for quickly.
We’ve also been really pleased with how our Community page is working out. It’s great to see breeders comparing notes and realising they’re not the only ones bumping into something. That kind of visibility makes a big difference, and we think it will help a lot in the future too, so keep the conversations going.
Beyond bugs and missing features, we’d also love to hear how the app feels to use. Does it feel intuitive? Is anything clunky or confusing? That kind of feedback is just as valuable to us as catching things that are broken.
Coming up next: we’ll be fleshing out the contacts screens further, including the ability to add and edit contacts properly. After that, we’ll be turning our attention to litters.
Thanks again for sticking with us. Every bit of feedback helps shape this into something that genuinely works for breeders on the go.
